THE CASE
DC's Department of Transportation has for years been setting the stage for installing two miles of bike infrastructure down Connecticut Avenue. This will remove car lanes & parking on one of the city's busiest commercial roads. Currently, the average spot in this corridor sees about 50,000 percent more autos (often carrying more than one person) than bikes.
Almost no reasonable resident or business asked for this. Yet it is happening thanks to the shell game known as transportation planning. Click for full thread or see snapshots below.
